Greetings!

By calling and profession, I have served in Christian ministry with my wife, Beth, for over four decades. We currently live in Wakefield, Rhode Island, where I am the pastor of the Wakefield Baptist Church.

I grew up in Durham, N.C. and with few clues about where life might be leading, I entered Warren Wilson College near Asheville, N.C. There, I met Beth and together we experienced a call to ministry. I declared a major in humanities with emphases in religion and philosophy. I completed my Master of Divinity degree at the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C., then Beth I, with our two young sons, Christopher and Benjamin set out for Pulaski, N.Y. where we served the Pulaski Baptist Church for six years.

Moving to Wakefield, Rhode Island we began a ministry now in its twenty-sixth year.  During that time, Beth pioneered a new way of offering children's educational theater. Her production company is called Gear Productions. You may visit her web-site at:

GEAR Productions (501c3) – Give. Everyone. A. Role.

Later, I pursued a doctorate in worship studies from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. My thesis examined connections between spirituality, worship and healing.

For a few years I served as the chaplain for a new endeavor in southern Rhode Island called Harvest Acres Farm, a therapeutic farm setting offering healing and hope for those recovering from mental illness.

I would love to hear your thoughts.
